2024-2025 Players
Ares
Ares was one of the Tydfil Tytan's two Overwatch teams in the 2024-2025 season. Ares competed in the British Esports Student Champs National competition. The team fiercely battled through the competition finding frequent success! They fought tirelessly until the final stage of the competition before ending their run on 30/04/2025, where they were defeated in the Quarter-Finals, the exact same position as the previous year's team.
Athena
Athena was one of the Tydfil Tytan's two Overwatch teams in the 2024-2025 season. Athena competed in the British Esports Student Champs Open competition. The team hit it off early securing multiple win streaks, climbing their way to the top of the league tables, finishing the winter season in 2nd place, which made them the best performing Welsh team in the Open competition. Unfortunately, a string of very tough games after the Christmas break made it difficult for the team to gain the needed points to make into into the elimination stage of the tournament. Athena was knocked out and gracefully left the competition on 12/03/2025.
Aura
Aura was the Tydfil Tytan's Valorant team during the 2024-2025 season, who competed in the British Esports Student Champs National competition, as well as the Welsh Esports Cup. Aura and it's players were extremely dedicated to the game and spent many hours scrimming and practicing for their upcoming competitions. This practice proved its worth when they competed as part of the Welsh Esports Cup in December 2024, as they bagged themselves 2nd place in the entire cup, making them the second best Valorant team in Wales! Unfortunately, they were unable to maintain their good fortune and after some fantastic and competitive games, they were unable to survive the LCQ stage of the British Esports Student Champs and were defeated in February of 2025.
